Weekend getaways

Two days in the hills

A weekend is enough to reset. Arrive on Friday night, watch the sunrise from Kolukkumalai or walk around Kodai Lake on Saturday, and leave on Sunday with the mist still in your head.

A weekend at Hostyard Kodai

Lake, forest and a quiet place to come back to

Kodaikanal works well for two days: Kodai Lake and Coaker's Walk on one day, Pine Forest and Pillar Rocks on the other. If you drive in, check the current e-pass rules before you set off.

Stay in one of the hostel beds and three kinds of private room: the Retreat, Courtyard and Suite Rooms.

Weekend trips: quick answers

Is one weekend enough for Munnar?

For Suryanelli and Kolukkumalai, two nights works well. Add a day if you also want to see Munnar town and Eravikulam.

Do I need to book in advance for weekends?

Enquire early, especially for long weekends and holidays. The team confirms availability and the rate for your dates.
